This image shows the elevation view of one step in a process that was devised in order to determine the shape of each of the four 'sides' of this very rounded and irregularly shaped small granite rock. The purpose was to be able to observe and draw as accurately as possible the white quartz line of the 'hoop' as it moves through each of the four shapes that represent the way this rock appears from four different points of view around its periphery.
